Platform Engineer

At Kry, our platform is the backbone of everything we build. As a Platform Engineer, you will play a critical role in evolving the cloud infrastructure and shared foundations that power healthcare services used by millions of patients across Europe.

We’re hiring at mid to senior level. You’ll be trusted to take ownership of complex problems and contribute to architectural decisions that impact the whole organisation.

The Role

Our cloud infrastructure and capabilities underpin every Kry product. The decisions made in this domain directly impact availability, scalability, security, developer experience and cost efficiency across the entire organisation.

As a Platform Engineer, you will:

• Design and deliver secure, scalable and highly available AWS architectures

• Strengthen cloud security, backup and disaster recovery strategies

• Drive cost optimisation and infrastructure performance improvements

• Enable product teams by providing robust cloud foundations, shared libraries and clear engineering patterns

• Contribute to platform standards and engineering best practices across the organisation

You will operate in a high-impact environment where reliability, security and resilience are mission-critical.

What You Bring

We’re looking for an engineer with strong cloud fundamentals and architectural awareness. You may not have mastered every technology listed below, but you’ve worked in complex systems and can operate independently while continuing to grow.

• Cloud Engineering and Security

• AWS (Networking, DNS, Container orchestration, Load balancing, Databases).

• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

• CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)

• Containerisation (Docker, ECS)

• Monitoring and observability (Datadog)

• Scripting and automation (Python, Bash)

• Backend development (Java, Spring Boot, Vert.x)

• Databases (MySQL)

• Data Engineering (Snowflake, Dagster, DBT)

• Deep curiosity and desire to understand systems

• Strong ownership mindset and accountability

• Ability to assess risk and make sound architectural decisions

• Clear communicator who can explain complex infrastructure topics to both engineers and stakeholders
