Software Engineer
Despite healthcare spending at an all-time high, patient waiting time is getting longer, and patients aren't accessing the quality of care they deserve. At Kry, we believe we can play a fundamental role in changing this. For the past seven years, we've been on a journey to deliver and fix healthcare, for less.
As Europe's leading digital healthcare provider and one of the largest healthcare providers in Sweden, we believe that providing accessible and affordable healthcare has never been more important. Our vision has been consistent and clear: great healthcare for everyone. Do you share our vision and want to be part of shaping the future of healthcare?
The role
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our Healthcare Systems Team. Our mission is to develop, maintain, and enhance the SARA EMR platform, a comprehensive healthcare management system that empowers clinicians, administrative staff, and patients to deliver and receive high-quality care efficiently.
What you will do
Our challenge for you
- Develop and maintain the SARA EMR system, a mature enterprise healthcare platform serving clinicians and patients across Sweden.
- Build and optimize features across our desktop application (Windows Forms), web portals (ASP.NET), and backend services.
- Work with SQL Server databases to ensure data integrity, optimize queries, and maintain complex healthcare data models.
- Integrate with external healthcare services including e-prescription systems, population registries, SMS gateways, and appointment booking platforms.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, write comprehensive tests, and maintain high software quality standards in a regulated healthcare environment.
- Participate in system architecture decisions and modernization efforts as we evolve the platform.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and healthcare professionals to understand clinical workflows and translate them into robust technical solutions.
- Participate in an agile, lightweight Scrum process focused on delivering value while maintaining system stability and compliance.
Who you are
Your profile and skills
- Experience working with .NET Framework and/or .NET Core (VB.NET or C# experience is valuable).
- Strong understanding of desktop application development (Windows Forms, WPF, or similar).
- Experience with web development using ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Solid database skills with SQL Server or similar relational databases.
- You have experience building or maintaining enterprise applications with complex business logic.
- You understand the importance of data security, audit trails, and compliance in healthcare or similarly regulated industries.
- You've worked in an agile environment using Scrum or similar methodologies.
- You want to change the healthcare system by using your passion for tech.
- You like the idea of working on mission-critical systems that directly impact patient care.
- You are comfortable working with legacy codebases and modernizing them incrementally with a respectful dialogue.
- Curious, humble and eager to understand. Value an environment in which you can listen and collaborate in a respectful way.
- You are familiar with development tools and concepts such as Git, Visual Studio, continuous integration/delivery, and version control.
- Comfortable working in the Swedish and English language (written and verbal).
It is not essential to have all these skills, but an aptitude and willingness to develop those you don't know is key.
This is a hybrid working role, with the head office based in Stockholm Sweden.
What's in it for you?
- Amazing, friendly, smart colleagues from all over the world.
- The opportunity to work on a mature, business-critical healthcare system with real impact.

- As a team, committing to goals, sharing both success and failures.
- The opportunity to grow and learn from knowledgeable co-workers and cross-collaboration across departments.
