The role

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Membership and Revenue team, based in Sweden, UK or France. Together we build the systems that decide how patients get access to care, and how that care is booked, paid for and reimbursed, across every market we operate in. Our mission is to make access to care simple and reliable for patients, and to build the commercial foundations that keep Kry's care sustainable as we grow.

What you will do
Our challenge for you

• Design, build and own backend services and product features for our patient apps, mainly in Kotlin and Java, with some TypeScript.

• Deliver features end-to-end across multiple services, from the patient experience through to booking, payments and reimbursement.

• Help shape the technical direction of our systems, and make sure the decisions behind them are well understood and shared.

• Keep quality high through thoughtful code review and testing, and support and mentor the engineers around you.

• Work closely with product, design, data and commercial stakeholders to turn business needs into great solutions.

• Handle infrastructure and deployment pipelines with AWS, GitHub Actions and Terraform.

• Work in a lightweight, agile way. We keep adjusting our tools and ways of working so the environment stays productive and enjoyable.

Who you are
Your profile and skills

• Strong experience building backend services in Kotlin or Java.

• Experience with TypeScript and React is a plus.

• Experience using AI coding tools

• You have owned systems in production and led technical decisions within a team.

• You enjoy mentoring others and raising the quality bar through code review.

• Solid understanding of developing cloud-based applications (AWS, Terraform).

• You have experience with web and/or mobile facing clients.

• You are familiar with development tools and practices such as Git and continuous integration/delivery.

• You have experience working in agile teams.

• Experience with payments, billing or other business-critical domains is a bonus.

• You are confident working across a range of languages and frameworks and can quickly adapt to new ones.

• You want to change the healthcare system by using your passion for tech.

• You like the idea of working in a fast-moving environment.

• Comfortable working in English and French (written and verbal).

It is not essential to have all these skills, but an aptitude and willingness to develop those you don’t know is key.
