We are looking for our Agile Coach to join the R&D team. You will be responsible for analyzing organizational patterns within the Patient Area - one of our five product areas in R&D - and using that understanding to improve our ways of working and culture in order to create a healthy organization with fast, sustainable, and effective delivery of great patient products that ultimately deliver high business impact and allows us to rapidly keep expanding our teams

As a member of the R&D function, you will be joining a group of around 250 people working with tech, design, and product. R&D is using the latest technology and data insights to build and ship products far better than anything else in healthcare. We work at a fast pace with the aim to create high-quality end-user value every day. You will work within a team small enough for you to play an important role in shaping our way of working and building our teams, but big enough to really make an impact and innovate healthcare.


OUR CHALLENGE FOR YOU

  • Work across our Patient Area with 10+ product teams as our agile coach - driving and supporting both team-level impact, leadership team collaboration, and cross-R&D change initiatives.
  • Take an active part in our leadership team to improve our ways of working across the area and proactively design processes that support rapid scaling of the organization - e.g. OKR and planning processes, alignment within the area and with stakeholders, inclusive and psychologically safe culture, org design patterns that allow for rapid scaling, and much more.
  • Build a strong hybrid work model with a mix of office-based and remote-only colleagues, that fosters close collaboration in an inclusive, psychologically safe, and transparent working environment.
  • Coach and facilitate product teams in key moments like team kick-offs, design sprints, starting up or delivering large and complex projects, team offsites, dependency resolution, conflict, unsustainable working environments, or major changes in a way that builds lasting improvements
  • Develop and teach a toolkit for agile team practices like team planning, slicing work, action-oriented retrospectives, crucial conversations, etc
  • Develop processes and tools that help the leadership team understand team and org health, receive honest feedback from all team members, and take concrete and meaningful action to improve
  • Promote and build a culture of continuous improvement, outcome-focused goal setting, focus, and accountability
  • Drive or support change initiatives across R&D that involves the Patient Area
  • Provide individual coaching and direct feedback to both leaders and individual contributors

YOUR PROFILE & SKILLS

  • Expert understanding of Agile and Lean theory and practices, with deep experience of pragmatically crafting processes and ways of working that are fit for purpose
  • Experience of working in a company with agile values and ways of working as a part of the company DNA
  • Experience in coaching agile product teams to create lasting improvements to business impact, ability to rapidly deliver high-quality software, team processes, and culture 
  • Ability to shift between high touch and low touch team coaching in order to help many teams level up 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience of crafting communication channels and information structures that help convey the right information at the right granularity at the right time
  • Ability to identify underlying patterns/dynamics and turning this knowledge into a concrete plan for evolving mindset and interactions
  • Experience in defining cross-team processes for large, rapidly expanding, highly agile organizations
  • Ability to be both an active participant in senior leadership teams, as well as coaching leadership teams on ways of working and collaboration methods
  • Experience in driving significant change initiatives across larger organizations 
  • Experience of individual coaching of senior members in both management and individual contributor roles
  • It is not essential to have all these skills, but an aptitude and willingness to develop those you don’t know is key.
