Kry is looking for an experienced Public Affairs Manager to join our dynamic German team. You are a public affairs expert, well-versed in political analysis and methods of opinion building, policy development, and stakeholder engagement. You will be driving forward and influencing critical regulatory and political processes in the healthcare sector at the regional and national levels by building good relationships with key stakeholders (doctors and insurance associations, regulators, administration, etc.).

In this role you will work with the Head of Legal and Public Affairs Germany to develop and manage our public affairs activities in Germany; devise specific communications materials; and engage in face-to-face meetings with healthcare policymakers and opinion builders.

You are a versatile communications talent, both excelling on a strategic level and loving to roll up your sleeves writing, arranging meetings and events, and engaging with stakeholders and opinion builders. You need to be comfortable with change and a dynamic business in a regulated environment. You should be interested in taking on more than your core responsibilities to be successful in this role.

Above all, you are interested in becoming part of shaping the future of digital healthcare in Germany.

What you will do: 

  • Manage public affairs and policy topics in Germany, including stakeholder analysis, strategy, and action plan
  • Draft policy position papers, opinion pieces, and other communication material related to public affairs to emphasize and promote KRY’s ambitions
  • Monitor regulatory developments relevant to KRY
  • Organize related meetings, seminars, round tables, social media posting, etc.
  • Develop and maintain close, productive relationships externally (policymakers, journalists, key partners, and influencers) as well as internally across all departments at KRY in Germany to identify and determine appropriate PA and policy content needs and actions 
  • Weekly, monthly, long-term reporting, and providing strategic recommendations and tactical suggestions
  • Think creatively, take smart risks, be solution-oriented and tackle tough issues as they arise

What you bring along:

  • 5 years of working experience in politics, public affairs, communications or similar (e.g. ministry, political party, industry association, in-house role, international organization, NGO, consulting firm)
  • Experience working in the healthcare sector is a strong benefit, preferably in the area of primary care, knowledge of digitalization and tech is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strength in tailoring messages to the right audiences
  • You are structured and show great attention to detail with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to manage various projects at once in an ever-changing environment, while working well with and inspiring cross-functional teams
  • Creativity in both proactive and reactive communication approaches; ability to adapt quickly depending on the circumstances
  • You are courageous, independent, and passionately determined to reach set goals and value continuous improvement
  • Fluent in German and English, verbally and in writing
  • Passion for changing healthcare for the benefit of the patient
