We are now looking for a Data Protection Officer for Kry International AB and subsidiaries to enhance our Compliance Team as well as supporting our Legal team with data protection knowledge in all our markets.

The Data Protection Officer operates across a wide range of disciplines as well as jurisdictions and reports with a dotted line to the highest management level at Kry/Livi. Privacy plays a key role at Kry/Livi and is the very core of our business. We put the patients first. Beyond your data protection expertise, this is a role that requires experience from regulated industries and you should also be able to use privacy as a facilitator in our challenging mission to revolutionize healthcare within Europe. 

What you will do:

  • Provide advice and support regarding the application of privacy laws, such as the GDPR and - in relevant parts - other laws applicable to our processing of personal data, such as the Swedish Patient Data Act; 
  • Monitor the business' compliance with applicable privacy law and devise and manage the implementation of global and local data protection programs;
  • Draft and assist in the preparation of guidelines, policies and instructions on privacy, coordinate internal privacy audits and monitoring activities, manage reporting structure and prepare privacy reports; 
  • Interact with authorities on privacy matters;
  • Work closely with the global and local functions to provide legal and strategic advice with a focus on privacy compliance;
  • Work with global business in connection for risk mitigation with various transactions/partnerships/agreements, launches in new countries, etc;
  • Provide internal training sessions on various privacy aspects; and
  • Review product functionality and design to ensure compliance with applicable law. 

Who you are:

  • You have a European Law Degree or equivalent background within privacy, preferably from Sweden, Norway, UK, France or Germany. 
  • Minimum 5 years relevant working experience for the role as data protection officer, e.g. as in-house counsel and/or experience from a reputable law firm or data protection authority.
  • Strong knowledge and skills in privacy, preferably within a regulated industry; 
  • Track record of drafting and implementing policies, procedures and guidelines; working with prioritization and risk assessments;
  • Skills in analyzing and interpreting contractual relationships as well as product and data flow, with attention to detail;
  • Pragmatic, solution-oriented with a strong interest in technology;
  • Fluent in English, verbally and in writing;

It is a great advantage if you:

  • Have experience from the healthcare, software development industry or other heavily regulated industry, preferably in a B2C organization;
  • Have experience from implementing industry standards in the area of data protection or information security; or
  • Speak fluent French, German, or another European language.

You will be a key member of the Compliance Team and report to our Head of Security and Compliance with a dotted line into the highest management level. You will be based wherever you like within the markets where we conduct business, or in our offices located in Stockholm together with fun and ambitious colleagues if you prefer.
