Medical Director Germany

KRY is a digital healthcare service enabling patients to speak to healthcare professionals online. Join us in our mission to build better and more accessible healthcare. We are using technology to move consultations and health management online and provide a service that gives the patient the best possible healthcare experience, regardless of location. 

As we are establishing our presence in Germany, you will play a leading part in setting our medical strategy and building the medical part of the German KRY service. Once the service is launched, the Medical Director will have a central role in the Medical Operations team to lead and ensure medical quality and safety in Germany.

What you’ll do

  • Medical Quality: Bear the responsibility for medical quality of the healthcare practice
    • Lead and develop ongoing quality work through data analysis and internal audits
    • Assist with the development and analytics of quality measures
  • Local Standards: Provide direction for the German medical organisation by establishing the local standards, incl. clinical guidelines as well as clinical support and education to the German healthcare professionals active in the service
  • Strategy: Identify and define product and reimbursement solutions to achieve our objectives by integrating and adapting our presence into the German healthcare ecosystem
  • Partnerships: Identify opportunities for collaboration on innovative healthcare ideas internally and externally
  • Communications and External Relations: Act as a spokesperson towards the physician community and support relationships-building within the healthcare sector at large

What you bring along

 

  • Seasoned and reputable physician with extensive clinical experience and specialist qualification (Facharzt), preferably in General Medicine or Pediatrics
  • Knowledge of the German healthcare system and drive to put in place a suitable medical quality assurance system
  • Diligent working style in defining quality management and risk management procedures, strong operational capabilities to ensure compliance
  • Strategic and innovative thinking and problem-solving skills with a drive towards execution
  • Affinity to digital innovation and confidence in working in a fast-paced, digital company with a vision to change large-scale healthcare systems
  • Strong managerial capabilities and communication skills, also in English
  • Collaborative working style with internal and external contacts

What we offer you

  • Commitment: Permanent full-time position (part-time possible in the beginning)
  • Start date: May/June 2019
  • The role is based in Berlin. International travel to our Stockholm HQ and other European locations occasionally required
