We are now looking for a Legal Counsel to enhance our vibrant Legal Team to support execution of projects that will grow Kry within and beyond our current markets.

The Kry Legal function operates across a wide range of legal disciplines as well as jurisdictions. Legal plays a key role in Kry acting as a partner to all teams with a focus on international expansion, product development, and commercial projects. Beyond your legal expertise, this is a role that requires international experience and you should also be able to innovate, solve problems and proactively look for solutions in our challenging mission to revolutionize healthcare within Europe. Above all, you will be part of a highly innovative and passionate team. You will be involved in both Global Compliance matters as well as giving legal advice to the German team. We are open to adjust the responsibilities to the candidate(s) strength. Part-time applications are welcome. 

What you will do:

  • Support Head of Legal Germany in structuring the German business from a legal and regulatory perspective, building relationships with key stakeholders, identifying the best ways of operating digital care in Germany, to make sure KRY remains/becomes the lead digital healthcare operator in Germany.
  • Assisting the local German team on all legal matters related to new and existing initiatives as well as any day-to-day matters. For example:
    • Making sure the German business complies with legal requirements related to data protection, consumer protection, marketing, competition, IP, regulatory healthcare etc; 
    • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating licenses and contracts; 
    • Handling of enquiries and requests from users, supervisory authorities, governmental bodies, courts and consumer organizations;
  • Assisting on building work processes and quality management programs, e.g. by creating policies, guidelines and legal tools, and conducting training for relevant teams; 
  • Aid to draft presentations, position papers and policy documents for German Public Affairs 
  • Work with Global Legal Team on international matters on a case by case basis
  • Support in building and maintaining relationships with key external stakeholders, such as supervisory authorities, public and private payers, lobbying organizations, etc.

Who you are:

  • Law Degree, preferably from Germany (überdurchschnittliche Staatsexamina);
  • Minimum 5 years relevant working experience for the role as in-house counsel or from working for a reputable law firm;
  • Fluent in English and German, verbally and in writing;
  • Have experience from heavily regulated industry, preferably healthcare or IT;
  • Strong skills in analysing and interpreting advanced contractual relationships as well as product and data flows, with attention to detail;
  • Track record of drafting and implementing policies and procedures as well as templates and contractual documents; and
  • Very confident in working in an fast moving environment, including to help the organization to explore new business models and newly developing legal fields (e-Healthcare)
  • Strong organizational skills and time management.

It is a great advantage if you:

  • Knowledge in areas of medicine law (insurance, practice/hospitals, patient relations) / Fachanwalt für Medizinrecht and/or data protection law
  • Experience from consumer product company, preferably in a technology focused B2C organization; 
  • Have experience of working in a high-growth, owner-operated or venture capital backed business and/or experience of working in multinational companies or organizations;  
  • Have good knowledge to manage legal risks and advise management on all legal aspects relevant to operating a business;   
  • Have good knowledge of German medical or data protection law;  
  • Speak fluent French, Swedish or another European language.

You will be a key member of the Legal Team and report to the Head of Legal Germany/Global Compliance. You can be based either in our office located in Berlin or Stockholm together with fun and ambitious colleagues.
